The hi-hat is made of loud grasshoppers and the synth of seagulls🌿 One year ago, in September 2021, I travelled to my great grandmother's house on an island in the north of Norway, to stay in her house and make music for two weeks. And while I was there I was making Shadows, going on sound treasure hunts, and other adventures. And now, exactly one year later, I am back here writing new music. And I just finished the music video for Shadows, so I thought it would be perfect timing to release it now. In it, you will see most of the sounds I used to make this song. Almost everything you can hear in this song is sounds recorded on this island. I was alone in my great grandmother's old house, writing music, and the first four days I was there, there was a storm. It felt like the roof would fly off the house. This inspired the song. The video for this visualizer was taken with my phone during a storm around Christmas time in 2015, I think. We were celebrating Christmas in our family cabin in the south of Norway. The outdoor furniture were flying around, the table landed on the roof of the cabin. But it was really nice to stay inside in a warm cabin, while watching the storm outside.
